Just got my first Honda ~ 88 CRX dx
Heyas guys, well I just went to Long Beach and picked up this CRX for $1020.
It needs some work, and is my only car so ill see what I can do. Im either planning to swap in a DOHC ZC or the B18B1 and go Turbo on either. The B18 costs abit more... Drop it on adjustable coil overs, my buddies got some for 100 bucks. do little thing like plugs and wires. Custom interior is gonna be blue/grey. Im gonna leave the body stock so i can maintain my sleeperness. Eventually get intake and exaust.
ok first off, the problems. The biggest problem is there is RUST
. Near the drivers side door on the frame. and other minor places. Also one of the bolts holding a motor mount is loose so the whole engine shakes and that sucks The AC dosent work. Drives side lock dosent work. The normal CRX drives seat tear, no biggie... Im gonna go drive it around right now, lets hope I dont find other big problems.

Today I totally costomised the interior with blue highlights, its looks really awesome. Ill post pics of that tommarrow if i get time. hehe

Another victim of the rusty Crx... You should join my club. J/K... good luck. Take this advice though: Fix the rust FIRST. You wont regret it.

Because finding interior parts (the small parts I bet you painted) are getting harder and harder by the DAY to find.
You'll grow out of the rice phase and learn to enjoy the OEM look, like most all of us have. When you want to go back to OEM, you'll either have to try to strip the paint off or find the interior pieces elsewhere, which like I said are getting harder and harder as each day goes by.
On a side note....do I see OEM foglights on your car!?

dude it sounds good and all but wtf are you gonna use for suspension man...all that speed...i think you gonna want a good suspension man...i suggest omnipower...but ummmm you might want to look into it...cuz yea...they only make them for 92- and up... but there is a way to convert...just need to change the forks in the front and ummmmm i think change you itr rear LCa'S and yup i think thats about it...but ummm like i said do some research...dont go and be like my buddy and ******* make that thing a monster with no good suspension man...well the rest sounds good and good luck on ur swap
yea u are right...i went though that phase...lime green....id rather not talk about it...lol....i have spent sooo much money tring to get my interior back to stock...and i still dont have it all...please dude...keep the insides stock...car looks ok for what u payed...id have to fix tha rust first. Finding good suspension for a crx is not hard at all. There are several good suspension companys that make suspension parts suspecifally for the crx that way he doesnt have to go changing control arms and forks.
