My Honda Idels CRAZY
Alright, apon recently purchasing my Del Sol (93 S Auto) I ran into a troble. So far I have replaced: Radiator, Plugs, Thermostat, Head Gasket, Water Pump, Valve Covers, Timing A/C and Power Steering Belts, and the PCV valve and vaccum line. Before working on the head, I had no problems while ideling. Since that my car will idel at 700 and drop down to 500 while hot. It has stalled out and has had problems starting. It seems to do it more often if my lights, stero, and other accesories are running... Sick of trying to find out what was wrong with it, I put into a Honda garage. They said my timing was off 4 degrees and that it was fixed. It ran fine after that for a week. It has started to idel funny again, and i have checked vaccum lines, and anything else i can think of. Someone told me it might be the IAC valve... any suggestions..
Check the voltage at the TPS.
Are you throwing any ECU codes at all?
If not it could be something as simple as adjusting your idle up with the idle screw on the backside of your Throttle body.

Nope, the ECU is not throwing any codes... I tryed adjusting the idle up with the idle screw on the backside of Throttle body, and had no luck. It still wants to dog down.... when replacing the PCV valve, the line coming from it was filled with black crap... if anyone knows if thats part pf the problem?....
