my o2 sensor is bad and keeps givving me a CEL. i cant go 1/2 mile before the CEL comes on.

out of frustration i unpluged it and now it feels like i have 20+ more horses and WAY BETTER throttle responce is this because the ECU thinks it 's running lean from the 0 volts and thus puts more fuel in?

with it unpluged the only time i get a CEL is when useing HEVAY engine braking like on a hill or getting off the freway.

EDIT: when i'm at a light idleing i can smell a VERY faint hint of gas.

 

i doubt 20hp, but if your o2 was severly killed and sending very incorrect voltages you might pick up some power. just replace the 02.

should i take this opprotunity to install a wideband?

 

wide band wont work with Non OBD.....

 

From my exp, it will add a little more horsepower, but, it will eat a ton of gas.

after i did my b16 swap i only had 1 o2 hooked up and it ate so much gas it was crazy

replace or u will regret it
