well i cant seem to do it. me and my buddy tried and it just doesnt work. we unbolted the LCA shock mount and the two bolts in the speaker (i have a ek hatch) and it wont budge loose. this is very frustrating
i havent tried dropping the two #16's, is it a bitch to line it back up after its dropped?

Remove the outer bolt on the lca (towards the outside of car). Loosen the inner bolt on lca. Lca should now pivot and strut will fall out
I use a floor jack to line every thing back up.

My bolts were seized when lowered my civic. I got some PB Blaster from autozone and drenched the bolts. Let em sit for few minutes drenced em again let em sit and then used an air wrench. They came right out. That stuffs awesome. On the can it says it can eat through a styrofoam cup in 2 mins.

because the control arms are on for so long when you take the 2 lower bolts off the control arm.
the control arm will actually stay in place and not move. the tar they spray also helps keep it in there. very sticky
did you remove those bolts yet.
i bet the control arm didnt move and you thought you have to take that upper control arm off and swing the arm out to remove the shock i thought the same thing on my first time.
hondas are famous for rear control arm bolts siezing its expected to happen lol
mines had 2 on te driver side both lower control arm
some guy i know had his teg do the same on all 3 bolts!!!

Losen up the one of the lower control arm bolts (the one under the rotor #19) and take it off. Then unbolt your sway bar end link. If you don't have a sway bar, just do the first step.
