inspection plate
ok just yesterday my friend and i put in a 1.5L in my civic. i had to replace the old 1.5 cuz i sucked up water and threw a rod through the block. well we swapped the tranny from the old one to the new one and forgot to put the inspection plate back on it(the piece that is right next to the oil pan at the bottom of the tranny) and well we didn't notice it until AFTEr we put the engine in and we didn't wanna take it out but my question is will it be safe to drive like that i mean will water or dust or dirt get in there and **** it all up?? that's all i'm worried about i just don't want to replace the tranny if it will mess up with water or dust getting in there so if ANYONE knows please help me thanks
the flywheel cover I guess? well I drove around on a d series and b series likes that and it was fine, but you never know a little piece of rock could fly up there and hit the flywheel causing the whole motor to stop instantly.
well i was more worried about rain and **** cuz i mean we have the engine in now just don't have anything really connected yet. we'd rather not have to take the engine out and put that back on there unless we had to. if anyone else has any input it would be appreciated
hey thanks a lot i just went out there and took off the cover. i thought it was tied into the oil pan or something...that's what my friend had me believe that's why i never messed with it then i got to thinkin oh well i'll just take the oil pan off and do it anyways if i have to but it just comes off. thanks a lot for the help i feel much better about the whole thing
