AC Removal
I tried searching for the archived thread...but i failed to find it. Anyone care to give me some insight on how to remove the AC on a 4th gen Si? Im going to the track this weekend and i want the extra air flow, and less weight.
It's pretty simple. Just releive the pressure 1st using that little nozzle on your A/C line and then remove all of the related components(compressor, condensor, lines, etc..). Then either block off the lines that go into the firewall, or take off the dash and gut the A/C unit.
Then the last step is to get a belt for your alternator. Lots of people get the Prelude S without A/C belt, but I just measured the length of belt needed and told the parts store people the length and they got me a belt...

btw. you don't have t pull the dash to remove the evaporator.
just remove the glove box and you can pull it out.
