One side closer to my quarter panel than other? /shrug
I drive a 98 civic sedan. It's lowered with H&R Race Springs (2.5" front, 2.3" rear) and Tokico Illumina Struts. Up front I have Omni Power upper control arms. It's driven fine for about a year and I started thinking about an integra disc swap and some adjustable uca's to correct the rear camber.
I replaced the trailing arms, compensator arms, drum brakes, brake lines, parking brake lines with all of that and disc brakes (everything from an integra). I also put Omni Power adjustable rear upper control arms. I tried to adjust the camber as close to 0 as possible just using my eyes. The toe is still off a good bit. The passenger side rear happens to have VERY little room. If I take a semi-hard turn, the tires will rub. This is only with 185/65/14's. I had to put my steelies on the back to make it driveable. The 205/50/15's would clear but once I got on the road, they'd constantly rub. However, the driver side has much more room and does not rub through turns as of now. The passenger side does. It hardly has room to move a screwdriver through it. Before I did the disc/uca swap.. my 205's cleared just fine. However this was under heavy negative camber. I think they should clear though.. even now...
I know some of you are probably thinking I should just get it aligned.. which I'm trying to do.. but I have to get this problem sorted out on my own first. The guy at the shop said an alignment wouldn't fix this. I, on the other hand, think he has no clue what he's saying and that it'd fix it.
Any reason why it'd be sticking out further than normal? What are things I could do to fix this? Before I can get it aligned, I need to have the same size rim on all 4 corners. I only own two 14" steelies, and four 15" rotas. The 185/65/14's fit somewhat in the rear.. but still minor problems. I can't get 185/50/15's because they dont make them to my knowledge. I'd need 50 sidewall to make up for the extra inch on the 15" rim. Plus, looks better than 65.
Need your help!
