Default Street legal cat for 88 CRX Si with ZC

Does anyone make a street legal catalytic converter for a 88 Honda CRX Si with a ZC swap?

If I can't get one, does the stock one slow airflow so much that putting a cat-back exhaust system on it isn't worth doing?

Thanks

you can get cats for custom applications at checker. I picked up a 3" ID/OD cat there.

even though it is street legal, dont expect it to pass smog at the pipe. seen this happen many times , people not passing with high flow cats.

they do not create enough backpressure/heat for the catalyst material to work right. HTH

If you go with the Checker autoparts cats, you can still pass emissions. The "high-flow" cats don't seems to actually work. I had a full 2.5" DP-back exhaust system with 2.5" Checker cat and passed just fine (except for NOx from my ignition timing being too advanced...) It looks like it would be able to do the job and have relatively low resistance. It seemed to flow just fine, but then again I didn't conduct any backpressure tests...

Thanks all - I'll head out to Checker tomorrow. I'm in MN and we don't do emission testing any more. Remember Jesse Ventura? When he was governor, he stopped doing them!.

probably didn't want to have to get his 4x4 cadillac seville tested...
