this guy i kno said he met a dude with a crx he dropped in a 305 small block motor and he is running like 9.3s and stuff how does that swap work

The reason they talk crap is because of viewpoints like this. They tech behind alot of their engines might not be as up to date as most of our setups... but then again... how much do you really know about the engineering put into our engines?

Get off the domestic/import fugging train and come to grips with the fact that cars are cars. Hybrids are fun regardless of the power plant put into them. It shows a level of skill I'm almost positive that you do NOT have, otherwise you'd think more of the work put into that car.
