1992 Crx
I dont know if this belongs in here or the other section.. Oh well
Ok i have a few questions that are not really answered everyday...
I have a Euro spec 1992 Crx.. The stock dual cam zc motor has some damage so id figure why waste the cash when i can throw in a nice b16 or b18 maybe even b20..
So let me get to the point.. Im not sure if this car is OBD1 or 0 or what?
Also im leaning towards a b18b.. What mount kits should i get? are they any diffrent then the kits for the 1991 crx's?
Sorry if this stuff has been gone over before but i did a little searching and came up with nothing really useful in my situation..
BTW thanks for the help!!

For obd-0 or obd-1...
Because there's so much conflicting euro-spec info floating around, check your car yourself. Pull out the ecu and get the code off of it.
Should read something along the lines of PM7, PG7, PM6 or PR4 etc etc. Report back or look it up, but this should be a safe way of knowing.
Unless someone has a better idea...
Hasport makes the best mounts. HCP are alright.
I think it was Azfab that was making decent Hasport knockoffs.
Was the B18b available in Europe? That's what I'm running and I'm pleased with it.
I would consider availability when choosing an engine. Do you have JDM engine importers?
I've seen the JDM import cars, I can only assume they do engines as well.
Ultimately, engine choice is dictated by budget.

Hasports mounts are the way to go.
I would look for a B16 myself, there should be plenty there in Europe from VT's. Also, I'm not 100% sure on this, but wouldn't B series bolt on to Euro chassis without of special mounts like Hasports?

Well, i live here in europe for atleast another year... And if companys ship engines from japan to the states im sure they will ship to europe...
Also im looking at 5000cash to throw down on engine and mods...

So what version b18b do i need obd0 or obd1?</TD></TR></TABLE>
The easiest way to determine what your car has is to look at the plugs on the ECU (and rest of the harness). 1988-1991 cars (commonly, but incorrectly referred to as OBD0) have a white plug and two black plugs at the ECU. And most other underhood plugs are white. 'OBDI' cars have gray plugs all around.Hopefully this should help.

If I had to do mine over again, I would have got the Hasport mount kit that uses the hydraulic tranny. Cable trannys are getting rare and there were alot more performance options for the hydraulic variety.
For $5k I'd get a B18c for around $3200. You'll need the rest for parts/maintenance.
