Default Catback exhaust on CX (cat on manifold)

i just ordered my magnaflow catback off ebay (287 shipped ) now my question is can the exhaust bolt up to my stock cx motor/exhaust without the addition of a cat? i NEED to replace my exhaust cause my b pipe is dragging on the ground right now...i have a d15b vtec but dont have the parts to get it in right now...is there some sort of seperate pipe or anything replacing the cat? or do i need a cat no matter what?

TIA

edit- on this diagram http://www.hondaautomotivepart...YSTEM it shows the whole exhaust and there is a cat included, but there is no illustration No. on the list, so is there just a longer pipe than the other trims?

I got a vx and I had this problem but did not know it till I attempted to install it and was like WTF?
What would be the easiest and cheapest way to get this done is to either get an exhaust manifold and stock cat off an ex or dx or some other model from your gen (just to make sure all the **** bolts up perfect). and it will bolt right up to your engine and should match your new exhaust system.

Or you could always buy an aftermarket header along with a stock cat off an ex or dx, whatever I don't know all the models that will work , or an aftermarker cat. I would say your stock one would work, but for some reason, I 'm thinking it's shorter....I could very easily be wrong but I just thought that for some reason.

Or you could be like me and stare at the thing like a cow looks at an on coming train and let a shop deal with it. I thought I had the wrong system or something and didn't want to go through the hassle of returns so I figured a shop can do it! So they made up an extension pipe thing and welded that bitch in place.
I'll take some pics of it if you want?

*edit* yeah you'll need the cat no matter what and you could prolly use the exhaust manifold off the D15B and the cat, if it has one
but no your current mani and cat won't bolt up directly
