I recently installed an OEM ITR LSD and when pulling out hard I have severe wheel hop on the inside wheel...is this normal or is there a problem with the differential? Everything seems fine on straight line take off and driving through curves...haven't tried any tight radiuses (or is it radii?) like on an autocross course or sharp mountain roads where I normally would have a little wheel spin coming out of the turn.

are you launching? its possible to get wheel hop is your launching

 

Could be a blown shock.

 

I replaced the shocks when I put the tranny back in the other night so I hope I can scratch that idea. As long as the wheels are straight there is no wheel hop...it's just when I'm pulling out with the wheels turned.

I'm new to the whole LSD on a FWD thing so I really didn't know what to expect...I was just curious if this was normal or not.

 

With my balding ES100's I get wheel hop pulling out with the wheel turned, even my girl gets it when she drives. Better tires will solve my problems. hth

 

nah that ***** normal.........i get wheel hop if i launch my caR sometimes!
