LSD wheel hop?
I recently installed an OEM ITR LSD and when pulling out hard I have severe wheel hop on the inside wheel...is this normal or is there a problem with the differential? Everything seems fine on straight line take off and driving through curves...haven't tried any tight radiuses (or is it radii?) like on an autocross course or sharp mountain roads where I normally would have a little wheel spin coming out of the turn.
having an LSD won't necessarily mean you won't have wheel hop... it just doesn't allow one wheel to spin a certain amount faster than the other wheel (i.e. more equal traction to the wheels)...
if you're having bad wheel hop, look into traction bars...

It's not on launching or straightline take off, it's only when pulling out with the wheels turned...it's just like the wheels of a pickup or suv (and LSD equipped RWD cars) with the differential locked when turning on asphalt . It makes sense that it would/should be doing this if there is equal power going to both front wheels but I have never heard of this being a problem on an ITR or other LSD equipped fwd...
I'll go try some tight mtn. roads soon and see if the wheel hop is still there at a higher speed...as it reacts now I can't imagine what it would do on an autocross course.
