2 questions I'm ashamed to ask...
#1 What would getting shocks / springs do for my car performance wise? Besides being able to take corners easier, are there any real benefits? Also is the overall ride smoother with new shocks? or once its lowered, it gets less smooth?
#2 http://store.racinglab.com/92honprelpro.html Would these lights be basically the equivalent of HID's, also have any of you ever heard of / seen these?

1. Your handling improves by a lot. And most aftermarket suspension makes the ride worse, some maintain the same (rare).
2. No, they are not equivalent to HIDs.

I haven't done my suspension yet, so no 1st hand experience.
I do have those lights and I'll tell you that they are not the best quality. Mine always get water in them and the having the lights turned on has actually melted the casing in several places. They do look cool at night, though

Neuspeed sport springs arent quite as performance but give a nice stance with a smooth (like stock) ride - yet they are still more performance than stock.
Just to let you know about the lights, the housings on the 4th and 5th gen. Preludes (not sure about earlier models) really suck at handling hot-burning bulbs. They melt the housings, which are really expensive to replace. I would just get lights that don't use as much wattage but are white. Your ride will look cool and you won't have to worry about spending tons of money on replacing those housings.

I dont know anything either.
1. Improved handling that has already been said.
2. You should get the jdm headlights with a HID kit. I heard ppl say the HID kits make lighting worse but i think they look nice... Just my thoughts.

I'll also admit I haven't really upgraded my suspension either
but there is a good reason for that. It's pothole city around here.
And if I drop my car down, it becomes a much bigger issue as far
as bottoming out etc. There's definately plenty of advantages though

HID's will be better than those.
In my opinion, buy some nice PIAA H4 bulbs and get the JDM 1-piece... that's a good combination IMO. The next step up for lighting would be a OEM HID retrofit.

Xenon bulbs are filled with inert Xenon gas this gives a chemical reaction when the filament is charged in the gas and produces a brighter light using the same wattage as stock bulbs, HID (high intensity display) works by sending a continuous electric ark to an electrode inside the bulb, similar to the principle of a spark plug only it's that fast it's present all the time, giving much greater light and using less wattage, HID needs ballast kits to be able to achieve this and is a lot more expensive than Xenon filled bulbs. I have just fitted Xenon bulbs and I have a definite improvement over stock Tungsten Halogen bulbs, but can't warrant spending the sort of money needed for HID.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned as far as potential performance enhancer would be the decrease in wheel hop; thus allowing you to launch ever so higher, giving you a quicker time... Best Idea would be to get springs, and not the Ghetto sleeve and spring coil-overs. The coils make much more noise then regular springs, just be prepared to have to do some work on your suspension in 2=ys (due to extreme squeaking).

ghetto?
ghetto?
those in particular may not be the most ghetto, but it is what I was calling ghetto. And yes, they will work, but when i think of a quality coil-over I am referring to something like what tein is comming out with for integras, the spring incorperated into the coil/sleeve(it comes as one peice), otherwise when you jack up your car the spring will seperate from the rubber mount/spring. when that happens you will need to make sure that the car is lowered down on to the right spot, or you could do a little damage to the bump stop. hope this helps.
