1st gen B16 swap
All you need is a bunch of money and, a master fabricator. You could make it a rear wheel drive. That would be sick! A mad sleeper. Sorry I can’t help, but good luck. Try searching to net.
why wouldnt i wanna do it?
mad sleeper
the CVCC engine compartment isnt small the cvcc has the 1488cc motor not the 1200
ive have read a lil bout it but cant find any details
thats why i came here

Well, first of all you have to figure out how you're going to run a wiring harness and an EFI fuel pump. Your carburated one will not work. Then you're going to have to figure out how you're going to mount the engine. Did you measure the engine bay to see if a B16 will even fit in there??
I don't know, if you're asking questions about it on the internet I doubt you have the skills to fabricate something like this. Sure it's different, but can you do it? If I were you, I would get a 3rd gen civic or 1st gen CRX if you want something light with a B16 engine. You can get fuel injected models of those at least. Hasport also offers the mounts, shift linkage, and wiring necessary to put a B series engine into a first gen CRX or 3rd gen civic.
Just something to think about anyways.

Well, of course I have never actualy done this swap, but I dont think it would be that hard(just time consuming). You would need access to a welder and need some knowledge about wiring.
-Custom fab mounts
-find an axle combo that will work (probably end up using B series axles with the stock cvcc outer joints or something like that)
-I'm sure you could use the stock B series shiftlinkage. You might have to extend the hole in the floor though.
-You will have to convert the car from carb to fuel injection.
-I think the easiest way to do the wiring would be to use the entire interior and engine harness(including fuse boxes) out of a '88-'91 civic.
It would be alot of work compared to doing the swap into the newer hondas, but it would make one hell of a sleeper. Thats for sure!
