I was looking at my engine and i noticed that the filter on my cold air intake is completely clogged with dust and such. What do i need to do to clean it?

K&N Filter Cleaning and Recharge kit... available at any major auto-parts retailer (PepBoys, Autozone, Kragen, etc.)

should be $20 or less

well yeah cleaning kits is nice...but the instruction is gay

YOU NEED TO PUT THE FILTER AND DRINKING WATER + CLEANING FLUID...FOR 30min or 1hr MAN...SO all the dirts get crushed down and soft.....clean it until you think all the dirts are gone

oh yeah the reason of not using tab water is because when the filter dry...tab water leave calcium deposit on the filter...calcium deposits are huge compare to tiny dust...that the filter filted out

unless you are drinking hot water from the tap, there will still be calcium in your cold drinking water。
