help me build a b16a the right way
hi i messed up my last engine by running way too much compression. which resulted in bad rings and poor gas mileage due to richness.
i want to build my new b16a right this time. i have a pretty good cai, header(dc) and an exhaust(2.5) but i want to go a little further than that.
I plan to throw in type r cams and an upgraded valve spring kit (portflow). maybe ill use those new buddyclub spec 3 cams.
what should i do at the same time as a cam install to make full use of the cams? cam gears? tuning? etc etc..
also what ecu chip should i use. or should i even use a chip at all. im not a fan of revving high. even in my last engine i built it to rev till ten but i didnt feel any power that high so i rarely took it that far.
just looking for opinions on a good STREET setup. not a fan of gutting my car and reducing weight. i drive this thing everday and its bad enough with no ac or ps.
my gut says go with all oem type r parts, flywheel, itr header,IM,TB. but just want your opinions if you had a chance to do a motor the right way.
thx. maybe ill post some pics along the way, if i can ahold of a camera.
