Help HElp Integra pulls to the right when braking
I just got a 93 Integra GS and am having a minor or major problem. When I step on the brakes the car pulls to the right. Even a slight press on the brakes make sthe steering wheel go to the right. I took it to the shop and the quotes me $600. They said my axels had gone bad, and the need to replace various other parts. Should I fork out the $600 to get my baby on the road, or is this something simple that I can take care of. Any help would be greatly appreciated
It's not exactly simple, but its not that hard either. Did you have them check your break lines too? When my car pulled to the right, when I hit my breaks, a place told me I needed to replace my break lines.
Check around...see what other places say too.

Yeah sounds like an axle problem, how's the aligment, balancing and rotation on the car? All this has to do with this problem sometimes when you replace an axle you have to do aligment etc on the car because they pull to the sides when you brake. Check on this let me know what happens!!
BTW: $600 seems ridiculous to replace some axles, what else did the shop say needed replacing? I'll also suggest what everyone else has, check alignment and brake lines.
I doubt its an axle otherwise you would be saying car pulls to the left when accelerating, I bet your cv boot is cracked and has thrown grease all over ure left brake rotor. Just check the left wheel and look for grease, but it could be an axle or both. A new cv boot will run ya about $20~30 at autozone.
thanks guys, I going to try and get alingment if that doesn't work. I'm off to the junkyards. When I asked the shop to give me a brakedown of the $600 they quote they gave me the run around. SKREW THEM!
