Long Armrest for 92 EG
Im plannign to purchase one somewhere. still looking right now. i got a question about this b4 i make my purchase. for the long armrest does it extend so far that it gets real close or even almost touch the rear seats. does any one have pics of this? i thought of getting the short one but it can only hold one cup. i want ot have more space for at least two cup holders and also extra space if i needed.
Yes, it's longer. Yes, it does stick back further but still has plenty of clearance between that and the rear seat. It's mainly designed to hold the Gathers CD changer but I guess you can use it as twin cup holders
, but then the cover will stick up high since it's long. I'm too lazy to do a search, but I took exact measurements of the longer armrest, both outside & inside for somebody on here who was asking about stuffing their Alpine CD changer into it. But I do remember that it's big & deep enough to fit just about any 6-disc CD changer but not a 12.

I have one and I love it. The top rests on the back seat barely. The bottom part has about an inch space. I haven't put a cd changer in yet but I have put a couple of the supersize drinks in there when I did some food runs. There aren't any cupholders in it. Only the short arm rest has a cupholder.
Sweet! I need to get me one of these. i have the short one and the 6 disc cd changer that works with my stock head unit. But I always hated haveing the cd changer in the trunk. I didn't even know of the bigger armrest and putting the cd changer in it. Does anybody want to swap long for a short?
