Installed Defi D-Gauge oil pressure gauge...
Installed the black faced oil pressure gauge from the new DEFI gauge lineup "D-Gauge". I am using the autometer black 52mm pod (pt# 48009) because I have a knack against pillar pods and its a good temporary housing until I finish a custom pod for my center vents.
I chose this particular gauge because its a) inexpensive relative to other DEFI and top name gauges, and b) it matches almost exactly the color combo the ITR has.
It works good and looks hot. Definately cannot complain. I got mine via ebay for $75.

For those wondering about the illumination and where to splice:
RED ( 12v ) --> Spliced into white/blue cigarrette power
Orange ( 12v ignition ) --> Same as RED
White ( illumination ) --> red/black behind dimmer switch
Black ( ground) --> red behind dimmer switch
As a note, it took me a long time to figure out how to make the illumination work correctly. If you used the black wire behind the dimmer switch as the ground for the DEFI gauge, the illumination would work backwards of how it is suppose to, example, high brightness on the dash would equal lowest level on gauge. The only downfall to how I wire my setup, is that if you turn the dimmer to lowest setting, the gauge resets (does the startup sequence where the needle moves 270degrees and back)...regardless, it works normal the way I wired it.

btw where did you put the pressure sensor? </TD></TR></TABLE>
Yea I'm on the hunt for a cheap D-gauge.
I used a 180degree brass 1/8 PT splitter and ran it off the stock oil pressure sensor location. You use a 24mm to take off the stock sensor, and using teflon tape, you install the splitter. From there you have 2 locations for 1/8 PT fittings, one for the stock sensor, and one for the DEFI sensor.

cool. i was also thinking about getting some d-gauges but the amber BF Link gauges look awsome. they also cost twice as much too.
have you seen this

using the amber d-gauges instead of the greddy would look real nice.

Hey thats solid. Ill probe be ordering the EGT and A/F gauges from defi too. I was curious how that single pod mounted though?

Just a heads up guys - Defi is coming out with their new guages which looks exactly like a cross between the D-Guage and the digital guages. Digital guage, but light up amber! Should be coming out soon.

Me too. I still have this uninstalled.

looks good!
the defi gauges are nice, but I couldn't afford 'em new (I guess I should have looked on eBay)
(the greddy gauges above are mine...I wish they were amber, but they look fine anyway)

yeah, i dunno, i just wired up my gauges but not tapped into the oil stuffs...
i have a GReddy oil filter relocation kit, hopefully i can figure out how to tap into that instead =P
