Default New intercooler pipes help please, i have a mig welder...

I'm trying to do my intercooler pipes, few questions:

1.) Should i start off with 2" then go on to 2.25 into intercooler then come out with 2.25 to 2.5.. or what is the best way to do this? My goal is just 250-300hp

2.) What kind of pipes should i use? so far everyones been telling me jcwhitney aluminized pipes

3.) I'm going to need some new couplers and T-bolt clamps, is there an specific site that most of you guys go on to get good deals on these.

4.) Any good sites with the DIY intercooler pipes just to get any idea?

Thanks in advance (I hope i got this in the right section, I do plan on "welding" =p)

First of all i want to say hey to everybody on this forum i have been a member for a while just never posted. But you will see me posting around now.

Aluminized steel is what most people use for charge pipes. As for the diameter 2" will spool faster but i dont know if it will handle the power you want. I would use 2.5" just to be sure it will handle the power . These guys sell couplers for real cheap and have awesome feedback http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...68325. I found a lil write up on how to make your chargepipes. http://www.turbod16.com/viewtopic.php?t=7667 It may be a little different for the integra but its enough to get the jist of it

I got all my couplers from this guy: http://stores.ebay.com/High-Te...QtZkm
It's kind of expencive but they are good quality couplers and they also sell T-bolt clamps. I'm making my intercooler pipes out of regular 2.5" mild steel. Just a quick question, sorry to jump in, what is everyone doing for sensors by the throttle body. Is there any "easy" way to incorperate them into the intercooler pipeing or will i have to just kinda rig it up.

Good luck with your project
Chuck

By the way I already made one pipe, it goes togeather pretty good. If you E-mail me i will send some pics. Some advice would be not to use a hack saw and make something that will allow you to make nice straight cuts with whatever kind of cutting device you use.

I'm using the "high-temp silicone" couplers off ebay as well...

I am going to be following this write up...

http://www.cse.uconn.edu/~yele....html

There is a pretty good description of how to cut the pipes as well as a parts list from JC Whitney
