Default OBD0 B16a on a OBD1 car?

I was just curious since the obd0 b16's can be found really cheap and I could just find a hydro clutch for it and just pick up a obd1 intake manifold and fuel ****(injectors,etc..) would it be just the same as the obd1 b16? I don't have to worry bout smog **** where I am so swapping in a older model engine into a newer car I don't have to worry bout. Could I use the mounts that come on the obd0 b16's for my EH2 or would I have the get a mount kit or just the teg mounts?

you can use the older motor, u just need an external map , obd1 injectors and a obd1 bseries distro and obd1 ECU. As for the tranny and the mounts, u need to run either a hydro tranny with 94+ mounts, or u can run the b16 cable tranny, but u need to run a mount kit that will let u install that tranny and use a cable to hydro kit to activate the clutch...

Cool, there's so much of a difference in price that I've seen between the two. I could just sell the tranny and pick up a hydro one. Everything else would be simple to pickup and buy. thanks for the headsup. But mounts and everything are the same? Would the EF mounts that come on the JDM obd0 b16's work for the EH chassis. Why is there such a price diff. between the two? The tranny, new engine? Performance wise their the same right? I didn't think were different until the JDM OBD2 b16's which had 170 at the crank right compare to the 160 of the earlier motors?

the ef mounts dont work, you can you your d series tranny mount on the b series hydro tranny, and the driver side mount if ur car is a EX/SI, all u need then is a integra DC L braket for the rear. the newer motors are more expensive, becasue liek i said "newer", they have the obd1 distro, injectors , and the bigger TB and slightly larger cam profile. that stuff is also why the pawer goes from 160 in teh 1st gens to 167 in teh second gens
