Default stripped valve cover

i stripped my valve cover with aircraft remover. the orig. paint was crap, then it got spraypainted and that was falling off and getting burned, so now i think it looks kinda cool.

it looks even better with my black spark plug cover

I thought I'd ask this question while we were on the subject of valve covers.

I heard that you can sand them down starting with like a rough grit (say 240, and then slowly work your way up to like a 1500 to 2000) then a finer grit sand paper and eventually you polish them and they come out all street glossin bling bling like.

I was just wondering if you can use any honda valve cover just because I have an extra one off of just a D15. I'd just do this for fun on the side and sell if for a couple of bucks on ebay or something. But like I was asking, is this possible with any honda valve cover?

As long as you keep the valvecover clean IE no fingerprints you should'nt have a problem with it discoloring however you will notice that your underhood temps have gone up a bit and this will become a problem for your cooling system and electrical ect.

Not a major one but to be considered.

I had mine powder coated silver due to this reason
