my car is pissin me off wont rev at all no throttle response
ok my car will start and idle rough as hell but when i press the gas nothing happens im so pissed my guess is the intake manifold(dpfi) has a problem with it i have another dpfi manifold but im wondering if thats the problem any help would kick ***

though rare your thotle cable could be broken and basicly not transfering movement. try turning the shaft on the IM in the other side of the cable
i thought of that but even when i rev it manually by hand in the engine bay nothing im getting discouraged my 97 hatchback with a b16sir 2 was stolen so im just trying to get this 91 crx on the road its a d16a6 motor but im using the dizzy ecu and intake mani from the dual point

sounds to me not a airflow prob. but a fuel one check filter full tank
, and pump operation.
try also reseting the ecu and checking for codes.

i know its getting gas i can smell it im just wondering if the intake manifold got screwed up when the guy i got it from hydrolocked the motor is that possible for that to happen and how do i reset the ecu besides taking the battery cables loose?evan at wot the car is idleing

he Hydro Locked the car???? so he rebuilt the motor??? what exactly did he do? you might be running way rich. have you taken off top and looked inside???? hell the butterfly could be dissconected??? check all ur vacume hoses.

this guy is ******* stupid...... the guy didn't ask for a lesson on how an engine runs.
I agree with the dude who said it first. check if the throttle cable if broken somehow. move the TB manualy...but i think you said you did.
ok...it IS getting fuel...and of course it's getting air......perhaps too much....when I did a d16 swap in april we threw on some ''ghetto ***' gasket ....some squeez it out blue **** to make the IM gasket because we just wanted to see if the ECU would work...well it did. but that thing was brutal. it took like 3 min to rev up after we smashed the gas. It was getting TOO MUCH air....threw on the right gasket....and skirt (tires smoking) throttle response was good. so it could be the IM....BUT i dont see how it dosnt even ******* rev up at all....you HAVE to be kidding or over exaggerating ....one of the two.

no the motor i took out was hyrdolocked i put back in a d16a6 but just used the intake dizzy and ecu from the d15b i removed i got the right gasket and torqued it down to spec and im not kidding the car wont rev at all its like its getting no response when the throttle opens weird **** im about to say screw it take it to my friends shop and say put a b16 in the damn thing and be done with it just dont have the cash for the whole b16 thing right now so im trying to be practical i guess
