It depends which gears you want to change out.I just put an LS 5th gear in my ITR tranny with the JDM final drive.
Supposedly some gears are not interchangeable because they wont fit on the counter or mainshafts. Basicly your counter and mainshafts dictate which gears you can swap in.Some gears may require you to change the shafts while others will slide right on.
All parts should be available at the local honda dealer however they are pretty expensive. My advice is to hook up with someone in parts and see if they can help you out.
If you want S1 (B16?)gears,I think your gonna have to replace pretty much everything inside your LS trans.(Y1?). You may want to consider just changing out your final drive gears. This will effectively do the same thing for less $. Or you could find a cable S1 and replace whatever you need.

Good luck at UTI. I attended the one in Houston and then when to the Porsche PTAP program. I just recently started working at a Porsche dealer and finally making some decent money.
A little advice...Study and do your best and get into a manufacturer program.I know guys that graduated from manufacturer programs and are STARTING OUT AT $19 AN HOUR.
Good luck with the trans. and UTI
