Default Stock 95 Ls Red line

Ok, i have a 88 Crx Hf with a 95 B18b just H/I/E. I have a DOHC ZC computer that im trying in my car, where the revlimiter on that is at 7500rpm's, i know theses motors redline at 7200rpm's. My question is what is the safest i could take that motor up too.

Redline is 6800 on a stock LS motor.

i've been in an ls/vtec and it went up to 8,400 on some spoon cams.

honda bottom ends will take all sorts of accidental punishment from an overrev on a downshift, so they can "safely" rev much higher then advertised

guarenteed they dyno test random bottom ends to nearly 10 thousand rpms

after 7200 its possible too spin a bearing..

set the rev limit at 6800 rpm...</TD></TR></TABLE>

I agree on the power range (stock) but, valves floating and spinning bearings @ 7200? I shift mine @ 7200 daily and I am sure there many others that have ls/v's that take theres well beyond 8k.

im suprised that a PM7 is even working with your LS setup. That LS is an OBD1 and the zc ecu is OBD0

I run my 95' b18b on a pm6. You only have to change a CTS location(to the thermostat housing) extend o2 wire and I used the obd0 TB. It doesn't matter what year the motor is as long as everything is ran correct.

You don't even have to use the OBD-O throttle body, just extend a few wires.
