what is the difference between the Dx 1.5 and the Si 1.5 from a CRX

Default what is the difference between the Dx 1.5 and the Si 1.5 from a CRX

i just bought a 1989 Honda CRX Si motor the 16 valve 1.5. Is there a difference between my b15b2 motor in my Dx??? could i do a head swap with this and everything will clear??? i could really use the info...and also if anyone has specks on the motor please gimme a PM thanks!

And also what else would i need to put MPFI onto my car....anything....i mean i can just put the whole Si motor in wit the dpfi...but would i have to change anything electriciam in my care?!?!? thanks!!

all SI's came with the d16a6 and mpfi. If your car doesn't have it it's probably not a SI

okay well here is the link for the motor i found as u can see it has mpfi but i cant tell from the picture if it is the Si motor.....and if it is....what would i need to put that into my 1989 CRX DX with DPFI...and the 1.5 b15b2 motor?

okay im sorry about that....HERE IS THE LIKE jeesh 1 mess up and everyone mocks ya

I have talked to this man and he said the motor was professionally rebuilt and has 8000 miles on it....but he wont take anything lower than 375$ for the motor....but see he never set a reserve....so whatever price i win @ is the price i buy the motor for....isnt that how it goes anywayz?? get back thanks!!

I look sli eit's been sitting outside for years and tehy just painted the valve cover (very shitty job btw) and teh motor mounts for some stupif reason to cover up teh rust. I would not pay **** for this motor. I hope you dont either. Good luck with your decision.

ask for a pic of the engine code stamp on the front.. d16a6 = 1.6 si motor. no SUCH thing as a 1.5 USDM Si motor.

yah thier is no d15 si motor, and that motor looks like garbage, if you want one buy like a sohc zc 1.6 you can get em off ebay for like 350.00 or some junk

I agree!

You can find a ZC motor for ~$500-$550 that runs and includes the **** all bolted to the engine rather than the one you're looking at that doesn't seem to have the stuff attached to it and you'd be alot better off with the ZC than the POS you're looking at now.
