Intalled new IM and fuel rail and now having problems!!
First off I have a '94 GSR. All stock besides CAI b4 install.
OK well i got a AEM fuel rail and STR intake mani and i installed them. so i got everything in and i started the car. well it revved up to about 2k and held for a couple of seconds then dropped down to 1k and surged back and forth. so i checked for vacuum leaks using carb cleaner. I found it to be in the injectors b/c everytime i sprayed them the idle smoothed out. and it was all of them.
since it was all 4 injectors i figured i installed them incorrectly. I thought about it and i couldnt remember if i added the injector seal between the mani seal and injector. so i pull it off and sure enough it wasnt in. so i was like cool atleast i know the problem.
so i pull my fuel rail out and install the new seals. I start the car up and it quickly revs up to about 4k and sits. im like wtf this is worse than before.
any suggestions?
Also, are sheetmetal IM's supposed to have those two holes in the back where the IACV goes? mine just had like one. it wasnt like this:
