Default Intermediate Shaft Woes...

Hey guys when i was taking off my intermediate shaft i accidently dropped it and it bent part of the frame. The shaft itself is fine just the metal cover thingy is bent. Do you think it would be ok to bend it back to place? Or should i look for another one.

All that little metal piece does is protect the axle seal on the tranny case. Just bend it back close to it original shape and you'll be fine. Hell, if you wanted to you could take it off al together and just leave the axle seal exposed. My Toyota is like that from the factory.

Hmm, but would the axle seal go bad fairly quickly? I've never heard of that. Another concern is that it might make a noice when i start driving...
