Default Getting the left axle off of the intermediate shaft (the waaaay easy way)

wow... las ttime i did this, it was a royal pain in the ***.. sitting with a crowbar and a hammer trying to position it in a way that i dont break my hands doing it.. And also looking at the archived posts about this, i knew i wasnt the only one... A lot of people just reccomended taking off the intermediate shaft as well.. and that is what i usually do...

However this time i only had to replace the drivers side, and didnt want to drain the tranny fluid (just filled it last week) so i was determined just toleave the intermediate shaft on... Well after about 45 minutes of banging it hits me.... Use the suspension fork.. The guy that holds the shock to the lca... you have to take it out anyways and it fits perfect in between that gap beetwen the front axle and the int shaft... just put the bottonm of the bork in the wedge... give it a couple little whaps, and out comes the shaft.... with the intermediate shaft still locked in...

Just thought id share.... hopefully make some guys day a little easier in the garage...

if the car is on a level surface, or you jack up both sides, tranny fluid won't come out.

heres the proper way if u have the right tools, first you get your tools ready by picking out the
32mm
19mm
17mm
14mm
12mm
torque wrench
ratchet
flat head
and a puncher forgot what its called but its a impact gun

Make sure you jack up the driver side first if you goig to do the driver side first then put a jack stand underneath, keeping it from dripping oil out then when your done with the driver side lower it then jack up the passenger side and do the same

step 1 get your 19mm take off your wheels, (when tighten up the wheels its 81psi for the torque wrench)
step 2 get your 17mm take off the bolt for the bottom of your fork
step 3 get your 14mm take off the top part of your fork then slightly move the fork off
step 4 use the ratchet remove the 12mm stud away from the break line
step 5 go to the top of the shock by using the 14mm and take off the screws now your shock should come off
step 6 remove the 17mm at the top that hold your camber, now it should just come off
step 7 use the 32mm to remove the center stud that hold your axel
step 8 now with the puncher impact gun on the center punch it slowly
step 9 go underneath the car to the axel that holds and prow it out with the flat head, now that should come out
step 10 replace your new axel, make sure you grease up the end of the axel so it can go back into the rotor perfectly now
step 11 now reverse the way of getting it out then make sure every bolt gets back into its place that will be about 30min if you know what your doing. i hope this help you guys

i believe he is referring to the B-series axles and not the D-series. the 92-95 D-series axles don't have an intermediate shaft.
