well yesterday i got in a wreck (https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=978227) i was planning on doing the work myself since its only the bumper hood and fender i still dont know about my left one though. but i do have a question for everybody I dont know if i should replace my hood or not. the hood is not damaged except for the latch hook. that was bent and i couldnt open my hood and when i finally got it open i had to pound it back to it was straight and since i pounded it the strutcutal integrity isnt the same and it bent the metal it was attached to. i dont want to take the chance of hanving it pop open on me yet if i dont have to to replace it that will lessen the repair cost yet want it to b safe so what would you guys do. ill post pics after i get out of class for the day

 

Can you see where the latch stuff is attached to the hood? Make sure none of that stuff is beginning to tear away from the hood.

Also inspect carefully back at the hinges. In a real hard collision, the hood is supposed to fold itself in half, so the hinges better not break off. If you ever get in a real good collision, you don't want the hood to come 'slicing' straight back thru the windshield...

 

damn unfortunaltey the passanger side hood mount it cracked toward the windshield there is this black gooey stuff around it is that some sealant or is that thing welded and bolted down. also i thing my hood is fucked it is rubbing agains the driver fender and scraping the paint away think ill just replace that if they will let me.
