NEW MOTOR - Hondata base tune - Car starts and dies right away. CEL 22 HELP!!!
I put my newly built motor in the car. It is a rs sleeved D16y8 block, with a Z6 head/77mm JE pistons with Approximately 9.8:1-10:1 Compression. Head has mild port/polish, Y8 Manifold, The plugs are NGK BKR7E-11, and look a little brown. The piston tops look a little wet and there are now a few black deposits on top.
I have not been able to set timing with a light yet.
The car starts and idles OK with the stock DX P08 ECU - when driven with light load the STOCK O2 sensor with the APEXI turbo timer display shows between 14.3-16 AFR (AFR goes to 16 when shifting or braking. NO CEL's - I had increased fuel pressure to compensate for higher compression and increased displacement (40psi)
When trying to start with my chipped P28 with Hondata S200B box, the car stutters and dies right away. I've been able to keep it on stuttering by playing with the throttle, but as soon as I let go it dies.
Also, CEL 22 (VTEC Pressure switch) COMES ON before even before turning the car on.
Issues that I may have are:
TPS not well adjusted.
Timing not adjusted, but I tried many different distributor positions.
Please give me suggestions to solve the problem.
Also, can all this stuttering damage my brand new engine???

ON the Apexi turbo timer, can you check TPS voltage? I would check that. Set your distributor in the center. Who made the base map?

APEXI timer shows Narrowband A/F reading.
I'm going to check TPS voltage tomorrow hopefully. Base map made by Boosted Hybrid.
Can I damage the engine by running it/screw up the rings/breakin?
Why would ECU Throw a VTEC pressure switch CEL 22 before the car is even turned on?
