ls/vtec question

Default ls/vtec question

ok....my question is, is it possible to run an ls/vtec with a b16 bottom end. what i mean by that is to be sneaky sneaky can i put the ls crank and rods with b16 pistons in a b16 bottom end, hook it up to a b16 head and run ls/vtec so itll just look like a b16!! any insight would be aprreciated. thanks

i have heard that the crank wont clear the block because it is bigger... but i don't know for sure.

so wait a minute....if i use that kit ill have the power of an lsvtec without having to get the oil lines and all that good stuff?????? is that what your saying.

its a b16 that is stroked. the bore is the same in a b18 and b16

actually he's right. these are overbore kits. the "on the shelf" kits are 82mm and 85mm. 83's and 84's are available but are a custom order.
