Darwinian Jack Stands - OT but Funny as Hell
I'm going to call my congressman... there really should be a law preventing wooden jackstands...
and while we're at it... welding on the street, green trucks, and racing stripes on buildings.

True, because otherwise it might be dangerous.

It would be an easy task for 3 or 4 people to lift it.
And if you think that there are not people stupid enough to be under a truck WELDING on/near the gas tank, then you have not been out much!!!!

"Hey, homies! There's a dime bag under this truck!"
and just be ready with the lumber.

Kirk, I've pored over the pic for a while and I think you're right. I must have been wearing my rose-colored glasses thinking that a fellow member of the human race wouldn't be that stupid. I think I gave the guy in the pic too much credit.
My brother lived in Mexico for a year or so and had thousands of stories exactly like this one. There's just a different standard applied - no OSHA, no workman's comp, no complicated disclaimers on everything you buy. If you die? Well, bummer for you.

There are definately tons of ppl in this world that would be that stupid. This redneck I worked with at one of my jobs used to paint cars without wearing respirator, burned down his garage after he started his motorcycle inside (after cleaning down the engine and exhaust system with gasoline), always uses a chainsaw over his head (usually with one hand), etc!!! I have so many stories about the stupid **** this guy does. I don't know how he is still alive.
BTW, I still think the pic is real
