Default Thread got deleted <<95 Accord Coupe>>

Or have i somehow managed to lose it ?

I posted a thread asking for some advise with a 95 accord Coupe i just bought and now its nowhere to be found ?

ok well ill try again.

I bought this wee baby about a month back:

unfortunately its the SOHC Vtec version auto.

The plan is to rip that engine out along with the transmission and swap in either an H22a or the F20b and a manual GB and LSD.

Are there too many problems with doing this ?? Is it a fairly easy swap ?

Thanks in advance

the h22a swap is pretty common around these parts, so you'll have plenty of support if you do run into problems. search around, theres a lot of information on the swap already out here so any questions you have are most likely already answered.

you might want to look into some lowering springs too

if you havnt already, check out the basic guide to accords at the top of the forum. itll give you a tutorial on how to swap the engine in... as long as you have some mechanical smarts, it shouldnt be too hard.

... I'm confused by this comment, I even scrolled back and looked to see if there was a bike sitting in the corner.

nice car, lowering it about 1" would be nice, otherwise I wouldn't do a thing to the exterior.

is the car purplish? Even if it is, it looks really nice. I'm liking that color!

an H22 in that with a 5spd LSD tranny would be nice

if I had money...

Haha yea that cycle comment has me stumped too.

Its not quite as bad as it looks in terms of the ride height its actually parked sideways on a downslope and that pic was taken from the high side. But yes a good springs / shocks set up is on the cards too.

Along with cams, vtec controller etc etc. Im gonna aim at 300HP and see how we go - ive never done anything like this before so ill admit that may be aiming high but oh well

The paint is a mettalic blue. I like it but eventually i want something a little more origional but im not sure what yet.

Oh and the 16" are ok too but id love a set of these :

Another couple pics i took :

The nasty red cabling is courtesy of the previous owner. His idea of cost savings for the amp power

You can see the angle a bit better here ( ill admit it still needs to drop an inch or so tho) and thats my old baby in the background, ek Si went like a cut cat but flicked it off to a mate who has already run up some fines

Ok ive had a read through the accord basics thread - which i found incredibly helpful. I have a few questions which it leads me to ask tho.

As i will be replacing the F22 with the H22 I believe i will need to also replace the headers with either some aftermarket ones ( which makes the most sence) or with at least factory H22a ones ( is there any point to this ?) my question is - and bear in mind i dont really know much about this so it may be a stupid question - but will the H22a headers bolt onto my f22 cat ? And as my accord is 95 i believe that means it is only OBD1 so i dont have to worry about changing the cat as there isnt an o2 sensor in there ?

Basically what im asking is it enough initially to just change the headers or will i need to change other components of the exhaust at the same time ?

nice, never really looked at a rhd engine before. They're not much different from the lhd bays aside from the brake parts and a/c lines being on opposite sides of the car. Like everyone else said, go with about a 1" drop. Car looks good though.
