I'm looking into purchasing an EK HB at the moment, and there's two to select from. One has a B16b motor in it, the other has a GSR swap + turbo. My question is does anyone here know if either of these cars will pass Illinois emission standards?

I use to live in Calgary where there is no such thing as emissions testing, so I don't even know what the process is like when i purchase a vehicle. Do i automatically have to go get the vehicle tested before i can get it registered for the road as it is a used car purchase?

 

They will send you something in the mail telling you that you need to have an emissions test done.
