Default jdm b16 going in a ek96cx.need help

i just got a 93 jdm b16 obd1 motor for my obd2 ek. Its a 96cx hatch, the motor is already out the only thing i need to do is drop the other motor in. it came with a cut harness, what harness can i get that will work without modification or how can i modify my cx harness...

i need help with the wires!

if someone outthere have done this swap let me know or give me some info i need to know..cuz im trying to get it running n going ..

ok...sofar so good.. the motor is in now... but no one on here is trying to help..n people down here in va ******* want to much just for doing a swap or doing wires.
i dont know what to do..im trying to hurry n finsh it so i can drive! i been calling around to see if someone can help or do it...people around here dont have time. this suck ****!


if you live around va,dc,md that is willing to do the rest..il pay u!

I would just used the OBDII harness and wire up Vtec. i believe you have to change some of the wires on the Distributor (or you could trade someone with a 99 Si distributor). And just get a OBDII to OBDI jumper harness and run your ECU of choice. P30 or Chipped P28(this will allow you to disable the knock sensor and secondary o2 sensor.)

my car is cx which dont have vtec wires..right?so i went out to get ex wireing harness would that work?should it plug n play? im going to try to get a 99-00si distrbutor n il let u know how it goes.The ecu i got is the one that came with the motor..which is jdmb16 i dont know what is the code but i know u do..but yea they said i can use it, can i? i also got the obd2 to obd1 ecu harness which should work right?


this is my frist swap...n i wanta save money that is why im trying to do it myself.

yes if u get the EX harness be sure it comes off the D16y8 engine. if your going to run the JDM ecu u will need a knock sensor and the EX harness will have that on there. then just use the 00 Si Dizzy and you will be all good my friend. oo ya dont forget that OBDII to OBDI jumper harness

sound good sofar, i have everything sofar. its like 5am in va now..im bout to head to bed..all i need to do is order the axles n im done.
