anything is possible if you're going custom. it just takes alot of work. the main thing to check is too see if the s2k projector is about the same size. btw, those lights are fugly. i would go witht the TYC's or 2 piece Denji style

You would definately be able to rig it up. Come up with a good way of doing it. I'm gonna try it soon with JB Weld and some rubber/heat resistant washers..

"The first problem is that the tip of the HID bulb may touch the reflective shield inside the projector housing, causing a short-circuit. This is not good. You must have at least 5mm gap between the reflective shield and the tip of the HID bulb, as recommended by the instruction booklet that comes with my kits.

The second related problem is that the gas-filled arc capsule of the HID bulb is not in the same focal position as the filament of the original halogen bulb. This will give you an uneven light pattern."

Taken from this site which will help you greatly in doing this project:

Here is another good site to help you:

anything custom is possible. a friend of mine had lexus is300 HID's on his suzuki gsxr 750. another friend had 2003 maxima HID's in his 93 mustang, it just takes a little work and creativity......

dood, thats just the majority of your guy's opinion. . . to each their own . .dont know if you ever heard of that... obviously you dont like. . not going to change my opinion on them what i dont get is why YOU dont get a clue that you shouldnt have to force your opinion on me to NOT like them

anyway, what all is involved in doing an HID conversion? is there kits you can buy instead? is it clsoe to plug and play? any wire splicing?

i can just use my stock (i have an ek) headlights, i just went to ebay and typed in h4 hid kit, and there are about 60 different kits just for the h4s. very easy to do, two wires and your done.

Yes, but the resulting beam pattern will be no where near as good as with an OEM retrofit using HID projectors, and there will be excessive amounts of glare and scatter caused by the stock headlamp lenses and reflectors.

those headlights probably use an H3 size low-beam bulb... so just get an H3 HID kit...

here's my setup...
left: PIAA halogen bulb (before)
right: 7000k HID (after)

in the dark...

Do you have any pics of the beam pattern? I'm interested to see what this looks like. If it's decent, this sounds like an easier alternative to retrofitting an OEM hid projector.

Thanks

i don't have any pics of the beam pattern
(prolly cause my crap digital cam isn't good enough to take night shots)

but it isn't too bad IMO...
of course, retrofitting OEM would be the best route...
but it's also more costly and time-consuming...

if you're really worried about not seeing enough, slap on some fog lights!
