Thanks for the reply.....but i read it in some other forum and they said it only needs 4 numbers......so donno which combination of 4 to use.....
I dont think it will "blow" from entering the incorrect numbers... sounds like he is blowing sunshine up your *** imo.
now I dont have a 2002 or anything but I put the oe radio back in a friends 99 after his headunit got stolen... and yeah we messed up the code a couple times before we got it right, and no problems with the radio to date.

your mechanic lied to you just give it a shot nothings going to blow. you could also try yanking the battery and reconnecting it sometimes that works im not sure if it will or not but most obdI cars. worked for me.

Never heard that one before lol
Yeah that's bullshit that your radio would permanently disable itself. If you screw up the code enough times it will lock itself out for an hour or so yes but not permanently. If that doesn't work try finding one of the guys who works at a dealorship and IM them, I know there's a few around here.

Agree with above. He's full of it. Tell him next time he blows a radio by entering the wrong code to take pictures, I'd like to see it.
Enter the code and see if it works, you won't get hurt, I promise.

NO! Like I said it disables itself for an hour or so. If you're in a hurry just unhook the battery and try it all over again.
