yeah, it's super simple. Go to a local parts store and rent a spring compressor. If you check the archives I am sure there is a DIY guide to changing springs. It was one of the first things I did to my car too. Just take your time and pay attention to the order of the **** that goes on the top of the gas shock.

Get a spring compressor to remove the OEM springs, and go for it. My first job on my gsr when I was 16 took me 6 hours
. At that time, all I knew how to do was put gas in my car. But I got it done and I felt like I was the ****. Just go for it. It takes me like 1 hour 30 min now including a 30 min cervesa break.

It's really a quite simple process if you have a couple of tools. If you decide to do it yourself and want instructions let me know.

Thats good, let him hurt himself doing a stupid thing like that and he will probably never work on his car again.
Get a compressor, most places rent them for free.

simple yes, but it can get gay like if a bolt siezed up.
so far every civic i did had at least one bolt siezed up man its gay lol.
but really its not that hard to do it yourself. part of hooking up a car is learning and having fun putting your car together. thats the fun part of it.

If he hurts himself doing this then he shouldn't work on his, or anyone elses, car anyway.
I just put my struts in the box my springs came in and let them shoot off in there. Spring compressor are a horrible PITA. On the Larger springs like the front setup of the RSX compressors aren't so bad.
