if you knew what you know now... what motor would you build now for you ef
i have to say my self i would do a sohc y8 or a z6 damn the aftermarket on these engine is getting strong so i would do either one of them.... right now i have a dohc zc turbo in a 1990 hatch and a b16a in a 89 crx ...... but i would love to build a all motor sohc monster....that would be fun.
take your b16 head and drop it on a b20 block. That would be alot or torque and some fun on the street

I know what I want now so:
either an A6 or Y8 block, D16A1/ZC pistons, Y8 head/intake mani either boosted or a 50 shot.
currently running 15s on a stock 88 dx block/head with boltons, hehehe

If I knew what I know now, I would have gone with a built B16 turbo motor.
Gotten a clean body CRX HF, GE 84mm sleeved block, oversized valves, YS1 tranny with LS 5th gear & LSD, well the list will just be too damn long.
Oh yeah I want to also mention that I would had won the Lottery but will still drive a Trubo CRX.

I feel the same way... My parents always say "why dont you sell that and buy a better car" I try to explain, but no one understands. If I won the lottery... I would just own more the one ef.

GE 84mm B16A, IB spec pistons and rods, ported ITR IM, big valve p&p head, ceramic coated exhaust valves, exhaust ports, piston faces and skirts... big turbo that spools around when vtec hits .. electronic wastegate controller.. YS1 w/ JDM ITR gears & LSD

i have a 91 crx and a 91 civic hatch i bought for 50 bucks i was gonna sell the hatch but im leaning towards keeping the little bastard and putting in a z6 turbo with a si tranny just make it an all out sohc monster that looks stock maybe a set of rims and lowered a little but nothing super fancy im eventually gonna put a b16a in the 91 crx but thats gonna be my rice car i mean nothing major but im gonna make it look bad *** maybe a body kit and stuff but thats way on down the road i want to go fast first i had a 97 civic hatch but it got stolen had a b16sir 2 in it pretty quick the day it got stolen i got the cold air inyake from aem i was so pissed still no recovery

I would of saved up and extra grand and went with a b18c1. I like my b16 but I have to rev the **** out of it to make it move. Its not so much what I know now about motors its more like if I had more money back then I would of bought a different motor.
Thats why I'm building a ls/vtec now.
