I had some fun at Mosport this past weekend. Solo 1 school on the Saturday and Solo 1 sessions on the Sunday.

Weather was variable. Lots of rain and fog on Sunday.

Would anyone consider Mosport as a venue for the next ITR Expo? My vote is yes.

What kind of tires were you using at the track with rain??

I always wanted to go there but i heard alot of people crash their cars there..

Heard it's bit dangerous cuz of those walls

There are a couple sections that look a little dodgy, and the track reminds me a lot of Thunderhill. ...but with more blind corners and elevation changes.

I'm suprised you listen to music while you drive, Edwin... I like to be able to hear everything that's going on in the car... ? You just like getting in "the groove"?

The blind turns, turn 2 and 4 on the track are the challenge. You go into early you're f*cked, too late, you're f*cked. haha

That was a dry line in the video. I may compile a video later on this evening of the wet line. A totally different animal.

I was using Toyo RA1 tires.

quick6, I overlayed the music to the video. I don't drive with the stereo turned on.

Mosport will eat you up and spit you out if you're not careful.

Having the Expo at Mosport would be incredible but I fear the track is a little advanced for most of the people attending... You have to leave your ego at home when you drive Mosport.

Probably a good reason it wouldn't be a good choice for an ITR Expo.

BudMan, I'm working on the material to get together for ITRCA don't worry I haven't forgotten, I've just been busy.

I will let you guys know when the next open lapping/school event is going on at Mosport. I know there is a BMW school occuring September 11/12th at the track, not too certain if there is any openings being two weeks away and all. Check the web link below.

There's may be a Kensai Racing lapping event w/instruction occuring in October if I remember correctly.

 

Mosport is my favorite track as well. It actually was the first track I ever went to. As long as you leave your ego before you enter you will be fine. My first time there I saw 7 cars crash and a couple hit the wall. Once you get the hang of it, it is one of the most enjoyable tracks. Only downside besides the blind corners is the fact that high powered cars will always be able to catch the lower horsepower better handling cars because of the long straight!

My best times at this track have been in the low 1:40's. I still can't seem to catch Ken(Black RSX) who has unbelievable times!
