2.25 mandrel bent or 2.5 custom bent exhaust??

What do you think i should do for exhaust? i found used mandrel bent but its 2.25inch. i was planning to go with 2.5 custom bent piping, but the other is cheaper. when they bend the 2.5 pipe how much does it reduce the diameter too? tia

I think they reduce the size about 1/4". I am not sure but it doesn't look too tight. It might also depend on which machine you bend with.

Well, I assume the "custom" bent exhaust is crush bent (or press bent). But the diameter of the pipe around any one bend is going to depend on the angle of the bend, so we wouldn't be able to tell you.

a 2.5 crush bend, depending on angle can reduce to as small as 1.8-2.0"
(imagine how small the diameter is on a crush/wrinkle bend at 90 degrees)

It depends on your application too.... if you are going the all motor and/or nitrous, you should definitely spend the extra and get the mandrel 2.25 with a hi flo cat and a quality straight thru exhaust, you should be pretty good.
