Type R suspension on GS-R
I have a 2001 GS-R and I installed Type R shocks and springs, and it dropped my car about .75 inches. Type R suspensions are pretty good for cheap, therefore a good value, but I am kind of want my car to be a little bit lower. Is it possible to install lowering springs and still use my Type R shocks and not compromise the handling? OR would it make the car handle better or maybe even worse? Thanks guys.
The valving on the ITR shocks are much stiffer than your stock GSR unit. So you'd be able to get away with just upgrading the ITR springs to a slightly stiffer setup.
I'd only suggest the Eibach Pro-kit though, it's not that much stiffer than the ITR spring rates and it doesn't slam the car to the ground (maybe another 1/2" drop).

You'll love the handling of the Eibach Pro-Kit. I installed them in my car yesterday with Koni Yellows. It's a stiff ride, but corners very very well with less body roll.
