Default cf hood help

ok i bought a hood off my friend for $30 cuz of a crack in it...the crack is repaired and its almost time to re clear coat it. i went to do a test fit on my car and the only 2 nuts in the hood that still work stripped out...so now im left with nothing to bolt the hood props to.

this isnt the hood but in case no one knows what im talkin about

the areas circled....they are all broken. i tried re fiberglassin them in but i just could get the heights right and then i didnt wait long enough for it to dry the second time around. so im done messin with that stuff for alittle bit. my next idea is just to dremel out all 4 of the areas where the holes should be and maybe use wood and liquid nail to hold the wood on the hood. then line up everythin on the car, mark it off, and then mount the nuts for the bolts from the hood props onto the wood. maybe? i duno, im almost out of ideas...what do you guys think?

Yea real good idea flaking out on how you attach the hood to the car . It's not like it could fly up on you while driving down the highway or anything

you guys probably know that wood is attached to the hood for shipping purposes right?. or maybe you never bought a new cf hood before . id just squits a bunch or urathane (**** to glue car windows on with) and let it dry really good. then tap it with threads. see if that works.

My thoughts exactly...I've got a pair of Moroso hood pins (super small) for the front of mine...I don't see why 2 more up near the back of the hood would be all that bad? I modified mine a bit but this would probably be your best bet...safest too.

This is what they look like out of the package.

And this is where I got them...pretty cheap...just get two sets:

Good luck.

sorry to bring this back up again but i finally had another idea. yeah, the hood still isnt on the car. ok, since 3/4 of the mountin holes are shot...we elminate them. cut them completely out. my buddy that is helpin me with this works at his dads fabricating shop. so together we thought of this... take pieces of metal and drill 2 holes in them to mount them to the stock hood arms. now, these pieces of metal will be longer than the arms so they will hang off some. with the cf hood's holes gone we will set the hood onto the arms/arm extenders and get everythin lined up. once everything is where we want it, take duct tape and tape the metal extenstions to their respective places on the hood. remove the cf hood and trace an outline where the extensions are at. then remove the ductape and then use some sort of expoxy to glue the extensions to the hood. then after that is dry, do one more test fit to make sure its all still good, then fiberglass over the pieces. after thats all dry, drill my holes for my hoodpins and install it on the car. what do you guys think?
