Default Catalytic Converter

I have just bought a high-flow cat, the stock cat has a wire connected to it and the new one has no terminal for this. anybody know what this wire is for? I cant find it in the repair manual.

The wire is the harness for the oxygen sensor. Just unplug the harness and 02 sensor put it in the new cat, assuming there's a bung for it.

I'm guessing you've got an OBDII vehicle, and you bought an OBDI cat. I guess the option now is to get an O2 bung installed on the cat you bought, or switch to OBDI. You'll get a check engine light if you don't plug that O2 sensor somewhere or do something about it.

personally i wouldnt even bother with that kind of cat.
i would just get rid of it and get one that has the spot for the oxygen sensor.

welding or makign a new hole could be possible.
