Default Would this be bad on my suspension?

Ok on the front of my 99 hatch the passenger side sits higher than the driver side due to some sort of accident. I was wondering if it would be bad if I had coilovers in the front and adjusted the passenger side so the coil spring is lower than on the driver side and so then the two sides will be even.

I gotta get my new rear struts on and ride them for a while before an alignment. I've been changing my suspension a lot lately.

I agree with him......you should get it fixed, coils won't help...maybe visually....looking at the car....but riding in it....looking at the tired....totally diff.

Here's pictures of it. I'm not even sure if it's the driver or passenger side that's the problem to tell you the truth. Definitely not a spring or strut problem because I swapped them out with 3 different sets of springs and two different sets of struts.

Driver Side

Control arm angled up higher (can't see the strut top hat)

Passenger Side

Control arm angled lower or just level with the ground (top hat visible)

You may want to look into what is causing the the problem and fix it. >It's probably cheaper than coil overs i bet, the suspension parts can be replaced aswell as the subframe.

It's really the least of my worries right now. I gotta replace my rear struts and fix the exhaust leak I have first which are more serious. I'll have a shop check it out. I already have coilovers that I don't use.

See if you can find a frame shop. OR a reputable body shop. They should be able to straighten the frame out. Expect to pay around 800. And for that price they should do an EXCELLENT JOB on straightening the frame. Be pissed if they don't.

If it doesn't give me problems other than tire wear then I'm fine.

Find out what exactly is causing this uneven ride height and get it fixed.

i would just go to a junkyard and pick up the whole front corner suspension and replace it all, you can get it for damn cheap.

Did you try swapping LCAs? When I slid into a curb in my old car, my LCA was bent upward and was riding on the fender almost. Got a new one and problem was solved.

^I'm gonna give it a real close inspection today. Hopefully I won't have to take it into the shop and I could fixit myself if it's not body damage.

if you do this make sure its a reputable shop - with a Frame Machine & Measuring/Measurment Machine to go along with it...that way they can get the frame back to (or as close to) OEM specs...BS them a 'lil tell them you are putting thousands into the car & you plan on racing it (legally) on a road race track

too many non enthusiuasts get there frame fixed so everything just looks okay - make sure you tell them you are NOT one of those people

EDIT - it could be something was not installed correctly or to OEM specs as well - which would be much cheaper to fix than the frame

Well didn't get it checked, but my friends' TWO EG hatches had the exact same problem. Front driver side sat lower than front passenger side. You think it's a coincidence or just faulty honda parts? And not sure about this, but doesnt 75% of the motor sit on the driver side anyway? Could that be the problem?
