90 d16a6 into 88 hf
like the title says, im swapping a 90 d16a6 into an 88 hf. i want to use the intake manifold from the 90 si engine. i would use the original 88 hf engine wiring harness correct? do i need to make any modifications to fit the connectors on the 90 d16a6? also, what ECU would work in this case? im thinking 88 si maybe? or does it not matter...?
thanks
thanks
yes you can use your original wiring harness you may have to add a few things im not completely sure....the best ecu too use will be the 88-91 civic/crx si the 90-91's are better cause there reprogrammable btw im selling one for $60.
so the best ECU would be any Si ecu from 88-91? would the 88 HF ecu work?
also, i have the front spindles from an Si to accept the Si axles.
thanks everyone

The pm8(hf) ecu is an mpfi ecu.. I think your thinking of the pm5(dx) ecu..
But yes, Just get the pm6(si) ecu and be done with it..

the 88 may not have a fitv and wiring...were the 90 manifold will have a fitv.
check the diagram under the hood to be sure.

Yup.. The obd0 injectors are p&h so it would need a resistor box..

I think the axle from an HF plugs into the Si tranny.
Just use the HF axles and not the Si ones and the HF KNUCKLES can stay.

Arent they smaller/weaker or something like that.. This is just from what I have heard..

you mean the intake manifold im guessing? if i dont have the connector for the FITV, would it still be ok to run the 90 manifold?

yes and yes...
you will just have to disable the fitv so it doesnt turn into a vacuum leak.
i just saw this on how to do that...https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=976496
