Default Replaced Knock Sensor. Do I need to reset my battery????

Just as title says, I replaced my knock sensor because I broke it from a IM install and the car runs fine now, no safe mode BS. But just for the hell of it I wanted to check and see if the EGR was the only code I was throwing, and sho-nuff there was code 23(knock sensor) Just curious if I am supposed to reset the battery after replacing the knock sensor or if the ECU will restart by itself after every shup off/turn on. Thanks!

Yeah you might want to reset it anyway, just in case, these things can be complex . No the ECU doesn't automatically reset itself tho. If you don't wanna loose your radio memory and all that, you could just unplug the ECU...
