Default 70mm throttle body worth it on my setup??

right now i have i/h/e(3" cai/dc-2.5" collector/2.5" headerback) and crower 2 cams.

im going to have a s2 manifold installed, just wondering if it would be advantageous for me to get a bigger tb? i know it will help a little, but is it worth the $300+ i'd pay for one? on a simple setup like mine, what kind of gains might i see with the addition of a 70mm tb?

I think BBK makes a 70mm, that would be a great addition.

yea i know where i can get one... i was going to go with str, or one from rpm, which i think makes the str's. they look the same anyways. and thanks on the info about boring the stock tb, but if i spend money on one at all, its going to be on a 70mm.

question still is, what kind of gains would i get? maybe someone out there has had one installed and knows the difference.

From everything I've read and heard the TB will give you quicker throttle response and maybe 3-5hp. It's definately not going to hurt anything, plus you'll get rid of 4-5 useless vacuum fittings on the OEM TB...

I'm probably going for an Edelbrock 70mm myself pretty soon, as those have come with a pre-calibrated TPS .

Quick question, does the JRSC still use the stock TB or does it replace it? (sorry for thread detour)
